Freetown Christiania created in 2006 a master plan for the development of Christiana: ” Christiania Development” with 89 pages. The goal for development is sustainability in house construction, energy, water, waste, provisions, traffic and recreation areas.

At top of the map the main fortress Kastellet builded by King Frederik 3 1661-64. 24 bastions surrounded all old Copenhagen with 12 bastions at country side (today parks: Østre Anlæg, Ørsted Garden and Tivoli and Bothanic Garden) and 12 bastions to the sea side and island Amager (all 12 bastions preserved). The central place was "Kongens Nytorv", where the army mobilized at war time.
In june 2008 Christiana had a month open discussions about all aspects of the future development of Freetown Christiania.
