Jesus reveals that he is MESSIAS  – Mesiah Yahwaeh (in hebrew), ho Christós (in greek language):

Revelation (Apocalypse of Jesus Christ) chapter 1, verses 17-18:

– Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades”.

Jesus reveals that he is MESSIAS  – Mesiah Yahwaeh (in hebrew), ho Christós (in greek language):

Matthew, 16,15-19:

– “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, ” You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it”.

Gospel of Luke, 4,14-21:

(Quote)  – Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside. He taught in their synagogues and everyone praised him. He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read. The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me,

because he has anointed me

to preach good news to the poor.

He has sent me to proclaim freedom for

the prisoners

and recovery of sight for the blind,

to release the oppressed,

to proclaim the year of the Lord´s

favour.” (Esaiah 61,1-2)

Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him, and he began by saying to them, ” Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” (Unquote)

On this occasion, in the synagogue in Nazareth Jesus reveals that HE IS MESSIAH, The LORDS anointed –  Mesiah Yahwaeh, ho Christós (in greek language). He – Jesus of Nazareth is the Prophet, King and Teacher written about to come into existence on earth in all the 39 books in Old Testament of  The Bible.

See The Book of Isaiah chapter 9, verse 6:

(Quote) – For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.(Unquote)

Death means separation:

  1. Spiritually: separation from close spiritual, emotional and intellectual relationship to God the Almighty,
  2. Bodily material separation from a persons soul with its intellect, feelings and will,
  3. The eternal death – total and definitive separation of a persons body, soul and spirit from God the Almighty executed by the Son of Man and Son of God Jesus Christ: John 5, 27 : – “And  he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man”. Hebrews 9, 27-18: – “Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him”.  Revelation  (Apocalypse of Jesus Christ) 20,11-15: – “Then I saw a great white throne and him who seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they have done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then dead and hades were thrown into the the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death,. If anyone´s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”

In the Old Testament of the Bible Place of Death, Gates of Death or Grave are translated from the hebrew word Sheol (sa´al), which means depth. You find the word Sheol 65 times in Old Testament of The Bible.

Sheol (Grave) is a place of silence:

-“May you be blessed by the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. The highest heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth he has given to man. It is not the dead who praise the Lord, those who go down to silence; it is we who extol the LORD, both now and for evermore. Praise the Lord”, Psalm 115, 15-18.

-“Unless the LORD had given me help, I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death”, Psalm 94,17.

Sheol (Grave) is a place of none activity, knowledge or wisdom:

-“For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even the memory of them is forgotten”, Ecclesiastes 9,5.

-“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom”, Ecclesiastes 9,10.

In Sheol (Grave) all people are in full consciousness with their unique soul – thoughts, feelings and will:

 Psalm 9,16-18:

-“The Lord is known by his justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands. The wicked return to the grave, all nations that forget God.  But the needy will not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the afflicted ever perish”.

Psalm 88,1-12:

-“O LORD, the God who saves me, day and night I cry out before you. May my prayer come before you; turn your ear to my cry. For my soul is full of trouble and my life draws near the grave.  I am counted among those who go down to the pit;  I am like a man without strength.

I am set apart with the dead, like the slain who lie in the grave, whom you remember no more, who are cut off from your care. You have put me in the lowest pit, in the darkest depths. Your wrath lies heavily upon me; you have overwhelmed me with all your waves. You have taken me from my closest friends and made me repulsive to them. I am confined and cannot escape; my eyes are dim with grief. I call to you , O LORD, every day; I spread out my hands to you. Do you show your wonders to the dead? Do those who are dead rise up and praise you?  Is your love declared in the grave, your faithfulness in Destruction? Are your wonders known in the place of darkness, or your righteous deeds in the land of oblivion?”

Sheol (Grave) is under Gods omnipresent and under Gods all-looking  eyes:

Psalm 139,1-3: – “O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD. And Psalm 139,7-8: -“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. And Psalm 139, 23-24: – ” Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

The hope of the resurrection of the dead and that God will judge the world in righteousness:

Psalm 98, 1-9:

– “Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. The LORD has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations. He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram´s horn – shout for joy before the LORD, the King. Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy; let them sing before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.”

Jesus Raises Lazarus From the Dead.

John 11,40-44: – Then Jesus said, ” Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?” So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you have sent me.” When he had saids this, Jesus called in a loud voice,

“Lazarus, come out!”

The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, ” Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

John 11, 23-27: The death of Lazarus:

-“Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” Martha answered. “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” “Yes, Lord, ” she told him, ” I believe that you are Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world.”

Romans 6,8-10: “- Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.”

2 Thimothy 1, 8b-10: – “But join me (Apostel Paul) in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life – not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Saviour, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”

The 39 books in The Bible Old Testament are written in hebrew and aramaic. In 200-100 B. C. the 39 books in the hebrew bible were translated to greek and named Septuaginta.

The New Testament in the Bible includes 27 books are all written in greek between about 50-100 A.C.

The Bible´s Old and New Testament with its 66 books were translated to latin and syrian languages  from the greek text between 100-300 A.C. and about 400 A.C. Hieronymus translated the hebrew text in the 39 books of Old Testament to latin and translated the 27 books of new Testament from greek to latin. This translation to latin of all 66 books in the Bible by Hieronymus is named Vulgata.

In 1382 John Wycliffe translated the Bible to english.

Martin Luther translated New Testaments 27 books in 1522 and Old Testaments 39 books in 1534 from the original hebrew and greek text to german language.

In 1524 New Testament was translated to danish and in 1550 the whole bible, Old and New testament “King Christian 3. Bible” was translated to danish.

In 1611 King James Bible was printed in english language translated from the original text in hebrew and greek.

Hades is the greek word of grave, place of death and gates of death and is used 10 times in the 27 book of The Bible´s New Testament. In the 39 books of The Bible´s Old Testament the hebrew word sheol are used 65 times and translated to the word hades.

How came death to mankind?

-“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number, fill the earth and subdue it”, Genesis 1,27.

Man created in the image of God includes such characteristics as righteousness, holiness, wisdom and knowledge.

Man – male and female were created to live in a close relationship with God the Almighty, to hear the voice of God and to obey and do the will of God:

-The LORD God took the man and put them in the Garden of Eden to work and take care of it. And the LORD God commanded the man, ” You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil for when you eat of it you will surely die”, Genesis 2,15-17.

Adam and Eve did not obey God by listen to the will of God. They ate of the tree of good and evil – they sinned against by doing their own will opposite the command and guidance of The LORD God.

Sin of man means rebellion against the will of God and not listen and obeying the spoken word of the LORD God. In New Testament (Septuaginta) sin is translated from the greek word “hamartia” (means ” to miss one´s goal”), “anomia” (means lawlessness), “paraptoma” (means break God´s Law) etc.

The Fall of Man:

Adam and Eve sinned against the LORD God by not obeying the spoken word of God and were judged and separated from their close relation to the LORD God. That separation means death and their life became full of fear and guilt with sorrow, pain, isolation and despair. This event is called Fall of Man and is the Lord God wrath on all descendent of Adam and Eve – the whole human race in all times even today.

But the LORD GOD gave a spoken HOPE to all mankind through all times, GENESIS chapter 3, verse 15:

– “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head and you will strike his heel”, Genesis 3,15.

This word tells about the struggle between God and the evil one – played out in the hearts and history of mankind. The offspring of the woman would crush the serpent´s head – a promise fulfilled in Christ´s victory over Satan at Calvary Cross.

Revelation (Apocalypse of Jesus Christ) chapter 12, verses 7-12:

-“And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down – the ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:

“Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you. He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.””

Revelation (Apocalypse of Jesus Christ) chapter 19, verses 5-10:

-” Then a voice came from the throne, saying: “Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, both small and great!” Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: “Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear” (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints.) Then the angel said to me, “Write: “Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” And he added, ” These are the true words of God.” At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, ” Do not do it! I am  a fellow-servant with you and with your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

THE GRAVE (Sheol/Hades):

The  Grave (Sheol in hebrew and Hades in greek) is in Old Testament (Torah) and in New Testament is the place, where unrighteousness souls and righteousness souls are kept in a intermediate presence until the resurrection and the final judgement.

In Old and New Testament the Grave (Sheol/Hades) is divided in two strictly separated places:

one place for those unrighteous souls, who under the Old Covenant in Old Testament have ignored the will of God through the LAW and the prophetic preaching/teaching and those souls, who in the New Covenant have rejected God´s grace through Jesus Christ and his dead on Calvary Cross,

and another place called Paradise where the righteous souls under The Old Covenant (The Law i Torah) i Old Testament and the righteous souls of The New Covenant are: souls who have repent from their sins, received Jesus Christ in their hearts (being born again, See John 3,1-36), believed in the salvation through fulfillment of the atonement death of Jesus Christ on Calvary Cross, his resurrection, his ascension ( event foretold by Jesus Christ before his death on Calvary Cross), that Jesus Christ is sitting at right hand of God the Father on His Throne in Heaven and Jesus Christ from God The Father have received all power on earth and in heaven and had got the ultimate authority to execute the FINAL JUDGEMENT of all unrighteousness and righteousness souls of all times (all events foretold by Jesus Christ before his death on Calvary Cross). All the righteous jews and gentiles souls in Paradise were on the Ascension of Jesus Christ lead by jesus Christ from the place of Paradise in the grave (sheol/hades) to the throne of God The Father and the Lamb Jesus Christ in Heaven. Revelation (Apocalypse of Jesus Christ) chapter 1, verses 17-18:– Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades”.

The Rich Man and Lazarus (Luke 16, 19-31) – this teaching of Jesus is NOT a parable, but with its informations of named persons and places its a teaching of what is in existence in real time :

-“There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At the gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man´s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham´s side. The rich man also died and was buried. In hell (Verse 23, GRAVE translated from greek word Hades, my note Erik K Abrahamsen), where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, “Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.

But Abraham replied, “Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.

“He answered, “Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my fathers house, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.”

Abraham replied,” They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.”

“No, Father Abraham, he said, “but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.”

“He said to him, “If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.”

Note by The NIV  Study Bible, New International Version, Hodder & Stoughton, 1990, Zondervan Corporation to verse 23 in Luke chapter 16:  “Hades includes the torment that characterises hell (fire, Rev 20,10; agony, Rev 14,11; separation. Mt 8,12).

Paradise – the place in Grave (Sheol/Hades) of bliss and rest between death an resurrection:

The Crucifixion, Luke 23,42-43:

– Then he said, ” Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.

Jesus answered him, ” I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise”.

Between Jesus death on Calvary Cross  and his resurrection on the third day Jesus went to the grave (Sheol/hades) and preached for the unrighteous and righteous souls:

1. Peter 3,18-20a:

-For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit, through whom also he went and preached to the spirits in prison who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built.

On Jesus Christ Ascension (Luke 24,50-53) Jesus delivered all the righteous souls from Old  Covenant´s Torah and The Law and New Covenant initiated on Jesus Christ Death on Calvary Cross from the strict separated place called Paradise of The Grave (Sheol/Hades) and  lead all righteous souls from Paradise (Grave sheol/hades) to the Throne of God the Almighty in Heaven:

Revelation (Apocalypse of Jesus Christ) chapter 1, verses 17-18:

– Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades”.

The Altar in Heaven:

Revelation (Apocalypse of Jesus Christ), 6,9-11:

-“When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood? Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the number of their fellow-seevants and brothers who were to be killed as they had been was completed.”

see also: Revelation 8,3 : – “on the golden altar before the throne“, and Revelation 9,13: – “and I heard a voice coming from the horns of the golden altar that is before God.

The resurrection at the last day of all dead souls – righteous and unrighteous, where mans soul and spirit will be given a eternal resurrected body:

John 6,35: – “Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 5,37-40: – ” All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. For  I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. And this is he will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father´s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believe in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Acts 17,30-31: – ” In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of all this to men by raising him from the dead.”  “The man he has appointed” = Jesus, The Son of Man. See also: Daniel 7,13-14: -” In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man coming with clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshipped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.” See also “Son of Man” Mt. 25,31-46; Acts 10,42.

Revelation (Apocalypse of Jesus Christ) 21,4: – ” He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away”. He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” He said to me: “It is done, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son”.

The Resurrection of the Dead, 1 Corinthians 15,12-58:

1 Corinthians 15,42-49. – “So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonour, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.”

– “If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. as was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the man from heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. As just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man , so shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven.”

The souls (their soul and spirit) of all true believers in past, presence and future are in heaven after Jesus Christ opened the Grave (Sheol in hebrew and hades in greek) after his Atonement Death on Calvary Cross, his Resurrection and his Ascention to the throne of God Almighty in Heaven:

Jesus prays for all believers to be with him:

John 17,1-5: – After Jesus said this, he looked towards heaven and prayed: “Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began”.

John 17,24: -“Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.”

-“Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. I have made y0u known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them”, John 17,25-26.

All true believers are in the presence of  the Throne of God and the Lamb in Heaven:

144.000 sealed jews through the old covenant (at Sinai through Moses) of the Old Testament (Torah), 12 x 12 x 1000 = complete x complete x 1000 = methafor numbers:

Revelation (Apocalypse Christ) 7, 3-4: -“Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.” Then I heard the numbers of those who were sealed: 144.000 from tribes of Israel.

The Great Multitude in White Robes (Through The New Covenant by Jesus Christ), Revelation (Apocalypse of Jesus Christ), 7, 7-17:

-“After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no-one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hand. And they cried out in a loud voice: “ Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

-“All the angels were standing round the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshipped God, saying. ” Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honour and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!”

-Then one of the elders asked me, ” These in white robes – who are they, and where did they come from? ”

-I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore,

“they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them. Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not heat upon them, nor any scorching heat. For the lamb at the centre of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

The true believers of Jesus Christ are always in the presence of God – alive here on earth with body, soul and spirit (See: 1 Thessalonians 5,23-24) and when they die and leave their body they are instantly with their soul and spirit in the presence of God the Almigthy and The Lamb Jesus Christ on the throne in Heaven:

The Stoning of Stephen, Acts 7,54-56:

-“When they heard this, they were furious and gnashed their teeth at him. But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus stand at the right hand of God. “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at right hand of God.”

Notes to above text:

1. Thessalonians 5,23-24: -“May God himself, The God of Peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it”.

Revelation (Apocalypse of Jesus Christ) 3,19-22: -“Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”.

Revelation (Apocalypse of Jesus Christ) 4,1-2: -“After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it.

Note to Revelation 3,20: “Here I am”:

Exodus 3,11-15 Moses and the Burning Bush:

-” But Moses said to God,”Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelies out of Egypt?” And God said, ” I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship me on this mountain.” Moses said to God, ” Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ” The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they ask me, “What is his name?”  Then what shall I tell them?” God said to Moses, “ I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: I AM has sent me to you.”  God also said to Moses, ” Say to the  Israelites, The LORD, the God of your fathers – the God of Abraham, The God of Isaac and the God of Jacob – has sent me to you. ” This is my name for ever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.”

ESCHATOLOGY – The Holy Bible teaching on the last days of mankind history on earth, See: Daniel Book chapter 7, 8, 9 and 12; Zechariah Book chapter 12, 13 and 14; Matthew chapter 24 and Revelation Chapter 1-22:

The Last Days began on the death of Jesus Christ on Calvary Cross, is still going on and ends at the second coming of Jesus Christ in Glory to Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. The last days is also called the great tribulation (Revelation 7,14), the time of The Holy Spirit, the time of grace and The End Time.

THE FINAL JUDGMENT  AND THE SECOND DEATH of unrighteous men and woman, who rejected the salvation by Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary and did not cleanse their body, soul and spirit in the blood of Jesus Christ.

The final Judgement and the second death:

– Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books . The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone´s names was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire (Revelation 20,11-15).

The lake of fire is the second death (Revelation 20,14b):

The lake of fire is HELL – in greek Géenna and in hebrew Ge Hinnom (Hinnoms valley south of Jerusalem, ISAIAH 31,9; 66,24).

Ge Hinnom is mentioned Joshua 15,8 and 2. Kings 23,10 and is the place of punishment for the ungodly AFTER the FINAL JUDGMENT (Jeremiah 7,32 and 19,6-7).

See NOTE to Matthew 5,22: (Quote) “hell. The Greek word is ge(h)enna, which derives its name from a deep ravine south of Jerusalem, the “Valley of  (The Sons of) Hinnom” (Hebrew ge hinnom)…(..)..It became a sort of perpetually burning city dump and later a figure for the place of final punishment” (Unquote), The NIV Study Bible, New International Version, Hodder & Stoughton, Copyright 1985 by Zondervan Corporation.

Old Testament teaching of perdition:

–  it is not a focus on Hades but on Ge Hinnom as “lake of fire” set on fire of the WRATH of HOLY GOD ALMIGHTY YAHWEH (See: Daniel Book 12,1-13 “The End Times”: Daniel 7,9-14; Daniel 8,15-26 and Daniel 9,20-27).

It is a revelation of Gods Glory of light (Hebrew kabod) reflect against SIN OF MAN (See: Esaiah 10,16; 66,15; Jeremiah 4,4; 7,20; 44,6; Ezekiel 22,21).

The final judgment is just after resurrection of the body of all human in mankind history on earth: the spirit and soul of all mankind – believers and nonbelievers receive an eternal body of their own and raised from the grave (hades/sheol of nonbelievers) and from Heaven (The presence of the LORD for believers).

The final judgment is executed by THE LORD MESSIAH JESUS CHRIST :

A. If your name is written in the BOOK OF LIFE (believers): to eternal presence in HEAVEN in a glorified body, soul and spirit with GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON AND GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT, “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.”, Revelation 21,1).

B. Unbelievers are “judged according to what they have done as recorded in the books”, Revelation  20,12b.

3 groups of unbelievers in perdition:

  1. Those who despised (looked down on) of the salvation by the death of Jesus Christ in Calvary Cross for the sins of all mankind (Mark, 4,13-20), Hebrew 2,3,
  2. Those who rejected the salvation by the death of Jesus Christ in Calvary Cross for the sins of all mankind – they were too proud, John 12,48: Matthew 5,20; 6,16,
  3. Those who disdained the salvation by the death of Jesus Christ in Calvary Cross for the sins of all mankind – they were too “wise”, ACTS 24,24-25; 26,24.

Jesus mentioned HELL  (greek Géenna and in hebrew Ge Hinnom) 12 times – see New Testament:  Matthew 5,22.29.30; 10.28 ; 18,9; 23.15.33 and Mark 9,43.45.47 and Luke 12,5.

HELL (Géenna) is NOT the GRAVE (sheol (hebrew) in Old Testament and hades (greek) in New Testament).

HELL is a place of Gods punishment over sin and is a FUTURE place of condemnation after THE FINAL JUDGMENT.

Hell is a prison of sin debt, where Gods judgment rest over the unbelievers sins – they did not receive the free gift of Jesus Christ, who by his death on Calvary Cross payed the price of all sins of all mankind.

HELL is the LAKE of FIRE and THE SECOND DEATH:

Then death and Hades were thrown into lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone´s names was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire (Revelation 20,14b-15).

SALVATION:

Salvation is a FREE gift for all mankind – ask out of your heart Jesus Christ to BE BORN AGAIN (See John 3,1-15) and to receive The HOLY SPIRIT into your heart:

– “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever  believes in him is not condemned, bur whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God´s one and only Son (John 3,1-18).

Why did Jesus die his freely sacrificing death on Calvary cross?

Jesus died on Calvary cross to pay the price for all sins mankind have done, do and will do in the future.

John 5, 24-27:

-” I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who will hear will live. For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself. And he has given authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.

Romans 5,12:

-“Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death came to all men, because all sinned – for the law was given, sin was in the world. But sin is not taken into account when there is no law. Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses , even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come.

But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, now how much more did God´s grace and gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! Again, the gift of God is not like the result of the one man´s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. For if, by the trespass of one man, death reigned through the one man, how much more will those who receive God´s abundant provision of grace and of gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.

Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one set righteousness was justification that brings life for all men. For just as through the disobedience of one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”.

1. Timothy 2,3-6: – This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, who want all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men — the testimony given in its proper time.

1. John 2,1-2: – My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defence — Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for sins of the whole world.

The atonement death of Jesus Christ on Calvary cross:

Hebrews 9,26-29: – But now he (Christ) has appeared once for all at the end of ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Jesus died for you personally. Jesus payed the price for your sin, so you can stand righteousness before God in your life here on earth and in your final judgment before God.

Corinthians 5,21: – God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God, and 1. Corinthians 1,30: – It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom, holiness and redemption.

Romans 3,21-25: – But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and justified by the grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood.

God is holy and all mankind is sinful.  To receive forgiveness of your sins you need a perfect sacrifice, where holy blood is involved. That perfect sacrifice did Jesus, when he voluntary exposed his holy blood on Calvary cross. God the Almighty accepted the sacrifice of his beloved Son Jesus Christ and rose Him – the Son of Man from the grave.

Ephesians 2,13-18: – But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. (verse 14) For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in the flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. (See note 2,14the two. Romans 16,25-27: Quote) – Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all nations might believe and obey him – to the only wise God be glory for ever through Jesus Christ! Amen (Unquote). (mystery. see note Romans 11,25: (Qoute) mystery. The so-called mystery religions of Paul´s day used the Greek word (mysterion) in the sense of something that was to be revealed only to the initiated. Paul himself, however, used it to refer to something formerly hidden or obscure but now revealed by God for all to know and understand ( Romans 16,25; 1 Co 2,7; 4,1, 13,2; 14,2; 15,51; Eph 1,9; 3,3-4,9; 5,32; 6,19; Col 1,26-27; 2,2; 4,3; 2 Th 2,7; 1 Ti 3,9 and 16. The Word is used of (1) the incarnation (1. Ti 3.16; see note there), (2) the death of Christ (1. Co 2,19, NIV text note;2;7 ” secret wisdom”), (3) Gods`s purpose to sum up all thing in Christ (Eph 1,9) and especially to include both jews and Gentiles in the NT church (Eph 3,3-69, (4) the change that will take place at the resurrection (1. Co 15,51), and (5) the plan of God by which both Jew and Gentile, after a period of disobedience by both, will by his mercy be included in the kingdom (v. 25). Source: The  NIV Study Bible, New International Version, Hodder & Stoughton, Copyright 1985 by The Zondervan Corporation.)

Resurrection of Our LORD Jesus Christ from the grave:

The prophetic  PSALM 16,9-11 by King David, where he prophesied Christ and his resurrection:

-“Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay. You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”

Jesus appears to the disciples after his resurrection (Luk 24,36-49):

– He (Jesus) said to them,” This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms”(Luke 24,44).

-Then he opens their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them,”This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what my father has promised, but stay in the city until have been clothed with power from on high (Luke 24, 44-49).

Jesus teaching about The Holy Spirit, the Counsellor (John 15,26 and John 16,7-11):

-“When the Counsellor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me. And you also must testify, for you have been with med from the beginning”(John 15,26).

-But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, The Counsellor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; in regard to righteousness, because I am going to my  father, where you can see me no longer; and regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned ( John 16,7-11).

The Ascension (Luke 24,50-53):

-When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven. Then they worshipped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God (Luke 24,50-53).

The Holy Spirit comes at Pentacost (Act 2,1-4):

-When the day of Pentacost came they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them (Act 2,1-4).

Peter addresses the crowd (Act 2,16-18):

-No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel (Joel 3,1-5):

“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old mens will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and woman, I will pour out my Spirit in those days and they will prophesy.

Salvation – to be born again:

To receive forgiveness of sins is a free gift, when you ask the Lord Jesus Christ directly.

Talk directly to Jesus and ask forgiveness of all your sins, repent from your sins in past life, ask the Lord Jesus Christ to clean your body, soul and spirit by his blood on Calvary Cross. Ask Jesus to save you and make Him your savior and Lord in your personal life. Ask the Holy Spirit to come into your heart and to make you holy.

When you have prayed this prayer you are born again.

To be baptized in The Holy Spirit:

Ask Jesus Christ to baptize you with the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit will give you power and strength to live a holy christian personal life with strength, knowledge and wisdom.

The Holy Spirit within you, upon you and with you will give your christian life guidance and victory.

THE BOOK OF LIFE (Revelation 3,4-6):

-Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels. He who has ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

in Old testament Exodus 32,32-23; Psalm 69,28 and Daniel 12,1.

DRESSED IN WHITE ROBES (Revelation 7,9-11): – After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no-one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in frot of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

Description of the redeemed: (Revelation 3,18; 6,11; 7,9; 7,13, 4,4 and 19,14).

A NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH (Revelation 21,1-7):

(Quote) -Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as i bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ” Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and he their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

He who was seated on the throne said, ” I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” He said to me: “It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I  will be his God and he will be my Son.(Unquote)

May God help you to understand the salvation by Jesus Christ and the wonderful life in close relation to God through his Son Jesus Christ.

I pray for you, that you will give your life to Jesus Christ and learn to know God and experience his forgiveness, love, freedom and holiness.

Ask Jesus Christ to save you and and let Him  fill your heart with the Holy Spirit.

Pray and read in the text of the Bible daily :

Matthew 6,6: (Jesus) – But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Talk to God as to a father, to Jesus Christ as a friend and led the Holy Spirit guide you in your daily life and your service to God.

Ask The Holy Spirit to reveal to you about sin in your daily life – if so then confess this sin to God, repent and ask Jesus Christ to forgive you. Receive His forgiveness and His grace and fill your body, soul and spirit with the Holy Spirit and let the blood of Jesus Christ shed on Calvary cross cleanse you and heal your entire body, soul and spirit. Do it every day – take time for pray  and bible study“go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father”, (Matthew 6,6).

Your POSITION IN CHRIST: The moment you have prayed to God to be saved by the blood of Jesus Christ shed on Calvary Cross your position before God the Almighty is that your are RIGHTEOUS – you are justify by the atonement sacrifice of Jesus Christ on Calvary.

See John 15,3-5: – You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

Your CONDITION IN CHRIST the rest of your life here on earth is a PROGRESS – your SANCTIFICATION, where the Holy Spirit in companion with you develop your CHARACTER (it is your intellect, feelings and will) to be Holy. When you are a born again christian the Holy Spirit dwells inside your body, soul and spirit and produces the FRUITS of The Holy Spirit: LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS and SELF-CONTROL, see Galatians 5,22.

The BLESSING of salvation:

PSALM 32 (verses 1-2): – Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit.

PSALMS 32 (Verses 8-11): – I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Do not be like the horse of the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you. Many are the woes of the wicked, but the LORD´s unfalling love surrounds the man who trusts in him. Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart!

May God bless you, that you will receive from the Holy Spirit the understanding, knowledge and wisdom of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on Calvary Cross.

And may Jesus Christ show to you his love, grace, forgiveness and salvation.

And may God call you to open your heart and give your life to His Son Jesus Christ, Revelation 3,20: – (Jesus) “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me”.

Philippians 4, 4-7; – Rejoice in the LORD always, I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all.The LORD is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every thing, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

“How to understand Jesus teaching about being born again and his freely sacrificing death on Calvary Cross” (See my homepage Danculture.dk and click on category “Spiritualiy”) I have written my christian testimony how I got free of occult bondages from the powers of darkness of the false religions Hinduism, Buddhism and New Age. Under my one year hitchhike around the world 1965-66 I got involved in foretelling on my visit and stay in the home of a hill tribe medicine man practicing shamanism in the jungle near Chiang Mai in NorthThailand 18-21. july 1966. In 1968 I became initiated to the false religion Hinduism through The Trancendental Meditation Movement (T.M.). In may, june and july 1987 God called me to give my life to his son Jesus Christ and with help form 3 charismatic priest and the charisma gifts of The Holy Spirit I was delivered the 8. july 1987 from the powers of darkness and received the salvation by God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ through his sacrifice on Calvary Cross and was filled with his peace, freedom, love and joy in my heart.

About my visit to Chiang Mai, North Thailand the 18. – 28. july 1966 you can read in my article “Visiting Hill Tribe White Maew Group near Chiang Mai july 1966”. Click on my homepage Danculture.dk in cathagory “Spiritualitet” and then click “Older Entries”.

Jesus second coming:

Hebrew 9,26b – 28: -“But now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by sacrifice of himself. Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him”.

Luke 21,36: -“Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man”.

Revelation (Apocalypse of Jesus Christ) 22,7: – “Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book” and Revelation 22,12:- “Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, The Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who wash their robes, that the may have right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city”.

Revelation (Apocalypse of Jesus Christ) 22,17: -” The Spirit and the bride say,”Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life”.
