Arktisk vinter i Danmark nye år 2026, PART 1 – 10 dage i januar med 5-20 minus grader med 5-30 cm sne. Oplev isdække over Arresø i Nordsjælland med isbåd sejlads, is kitesurfing og skøjteløb.

The 3. january 2026 Denmark received a high pressure from Arctic Regions north of Scadinavia with day and night temperatures of minus 5-20 degrees. The following 10 days it snowed with 5-30 cm snow layer with temperatures minus 5-20 degrees all over Denmark.
After 9 days with minus temperatures the biggest lake (40 km2) in Denmark, lake Arresø was frozen with 15 cm thick ice coverage all over the lake.
Saterday 10. January 2026 the police allowed the public to enter the frozen 15 cm thick ice surface and use the lake for recreation.
Sunday 11. January at 9.30 am I decided to visit Ramløse Harbour at eastside of Lake Arresø to experience ice boat sailing, ice surfing and skating on the sea.
Form my home in Melby, Northsealand I drive 10 km through Asserbo village and Tisvilde Hegn to Ramløse Village 2 km from Ramløse Harbour at eastside of Lake Arresø.
